When designing Twisted Tales of Poe, director James Cherry instructed me to create an escapist 1940s world for the characters to play in. Each actor plays an actor acting characters. During rehearsals, each actor worked with the director and myself to create their characters. As a designer, I used available costume stock and different accessories to help each actor find their character within their clothing. Old Hollywood alongside classic silhouettes inspire each look.
